OUR STORY
Lucky's Baltimore opened in 2011 as “The Best of Luck Candy & Gifts,” a pop-up in Harbor East. That Spring, the shop moved to its current, permanent location- which means we are celebrating ten years!
In 2018, we rebranded and changed our name to “Lucky’s Coffee, Ice Cream & Candy” to better represent our owner, Alexis "Lucky" Thompson.
When Lucky moved back to Baltimore from New York City, she had a dream to open a candy shop like the old fashioned penny candy stores that she loved as a child, since there was nothing like it in Baltimore.
After three years in business, we shifted to ice cream, which has become our most popular item. Now, we are much more of a scoop shop than just a candy shop, having evolved for what our customers wanted! Most recently, we became a "We Proudly Serve" Starbucks location, adding the famous coffee drinks to our menu.
KEEPING IT SAFE + SWEET
Lucky's Baltimore will continue to use its best efforts to institute and implement preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, including but not limited to regular disinfecting of all surfaces, frequent hand washing, sanitizer stations, mask use, limited capacity, social distancing, and employee health monitoring.
